About Me
I am an enthusiastic journalism student at RMIT, with particular interest in radio and short form video journalism. I see journalism as a way to connect people to each other and their surroundings which is what draws me to it as a people person. As a confident, extrovert I am comfortable working with strangers which make me enjoy VOX Pops, interviews and collaborative work.

RMIT University- Graduate Diploma in Journalism
2026
Currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Journalism at RMIT in order to broaden and sharpen journalistic skills. Gaining experience across a range of formats including, written, radio, and video journalism in both long and shorter forms. The course has provided amazing opportunities including working newsroom shifts at TripleR and writing for The City Journal.
The University of Melbourne- Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Media Communications
2022-2025
Completed a Bachelor of Arts at The University of Melbourne, majoring in Media Communications. Developed academic skills and begun formal education of journalistic skills. Was able to learn about personal interests in a formal setting through journalism classes along with gender and Indigenous studies electives.
Interests And Passions
I am people person at heart, everything I do revolves around connecting with people.
Music
I am passionate about music as I think it is a powerful tool of connection that transcends language barriers. Growing up I learnt to play the piano, trombone and euphonium, playing in bands and practicing multiple times a week. This fostered my passion for music and taught me a lot about teamwork; everyone has a part to play and without it the piece falls apart.
I am especially passionate about Australian music. I believe Australia has an amazing music scene, specifically a live music scene that has suffered in recent years and deserves to be uplifted and celebrated. Music journalism would be my favourite area of journalism to work in.
Travel
Travel is another interest of mine. Again, this interest comes back to connecting people. I love traveling as it allows you to learn more about yourself and others, encourages you to step out of your comfort zone and connect with people who have lived experience that is different to your own.
Literature
I view journalism as a way to connect people with their community and surroundings. Writing has always been a passion of mine, growing up I would write short stories and articles for fun after school. I am also an avid reader, using books to gain insight to experiences different to my own and expand my knowledge and understanding of the world.
